TECHNIQUES REQUIRED: Knitting, purling, slipped stitches and working with long stitch chart or written instructions. SIZES: Slim (Medium, Wide) Width: 18.5 (23, 30)cm / 7.25 (9, 12) ins Length: 183 (144, 168)cm / 72 (56.5, 66) ins . . . . . MATERIALS – Slim Scarf: Yarn: Knit Picks Shine Sportweight yarn, 60% cotton, 40% Modal, 100m/109 yds:50gm ball, Colour #23617 Green Apple x5 balls. Actual amount used in Slim green scarf: 223gm/7.9 oz, 446m/488 yds. Yarn substitution: If you wish to use an alternative yarn, please select a Sportweight or light DK yarn with a recommended gauge of 24 sts:10cm/4 ins using 3.25-3.75mm/US #3-5 needles. Needles: Size 3.0mm/US #2.5 needles, length 25cm/10 ins. Gauge: 23 sts/30 rows:10cm/4 ins in Seed Stitch using 3.0mm/US #2.5 needles. Notions: Row counter & tapestry needle for finishing ends. . . . . . MATERIALS – Medium & Wide Scarves: Yarn: Paintbox Cotton Aran yarn, 100% cotton, 85m/93 yds:50gm ball, in colours: . Wide apricot scarf: 299gm/10.6 oz, 508m/556 yds. * Note: Both of these sizes used almost all of the number of balls of yarn recommended. Please purchase or hold an extra ball of yarn so that you have enough to complete your project. Yarn substitution: If you wish to use an alternative yarn, please select an Aran or heavy worsted weight yarn with a recommended gauge of 20 sts/26 rows:10cm/4 ins using 4.5mm/US #7 needles.
