The Hebden Gilet Jacket is an easy-to-wear extra layer for your toddler or youngster, helping to maintain their core temperature as the temperatures start to fall.
The gilet can be quickly slipped on over a T-shirt or top when they are playing outside and provides extra warmth without restricting their arm movements. It can be worn open or snapped shut with large feature press-studs.
The jacket is worked in a soft merino wool yarn and the pattern includes six sizes to suit kiddies aged 2–12 years.

Pattern Information
Difficulty: Intermediate
Techniques: Knitting, purling, decreases, slipped stitches, working with two colours, working with two ends of yarn held together, joining seams either by grafting or with a 3-needle Bind-Off. Sizes: To fit ages: 2 (4, 6, 8, 10, 12) yrs. Chest Size: 52 (56, 60, 64, 70, 76) cm / 20 (22, 23.5, 25, 27.5, 30) ins Finished Measurements: Width: 30 (34, 38, 42, 46, 50) cm / 12 (13, 15, 16.5, 18, 20) ins Length: 35 (40, 46, 50, 53, 57) cm / 14 (16, 18, 20, 21, 22.5) ins Yarn: Lang Merino 120 DK yarn, 100% wool, 90m/98 yds:50gm ball in colours: Main Colour/MC: #152.0270 Charcoal x 5 (7, 9, 10, 12, 14) balls. Contrast Colour/CC: #152.0004 Black x 1 (1, 1, 1, 2, 2) balls. Actual amount used for 4-yr-old size as shown: MC: 310gm/10.5 oz, 558m/605 yds + CC: 25gm/1 oz, 45m/48 yds. Yarn substitution: To use an alternative yarn, please select a double knitting/DK wool yarn with a recommended gauge of about 17 sts:10cm/4 ins with 4.5-5.5mm/US #7-9 needles, when working with a single strand of yarn.
