Joules and Joulietta Hot Water Bottle Covers
It happens every year – the temperatures start to dip and the evenings get chilly, yet it seems too early in the year to be turning the heating on. That's when you need to get out your hot water bottle and keep cozy warm!
The Joules & Joulietta pattern includes instructions for two different sizes of cover to fit a standard bottle and for a travelling size or child's size. The covers feature a beautifully textural stitch which is easy to work so they knit up quickly.

Circular cast on, knitting and purling, increases and decreases.
Small: 15 x 25cm / 6 x 10 ins,
to fit 1 litre/ 1 qt travel-size hot water bottle.
Large: 20 x 35cm / 8 x 14 ins,
to fit 2 litre/ 2 qt regular-size hot water bottle.
Knit Picks Wool of the Andes worsted wt yarn, 100% wool,
101m/ 110 yds: 50gm ball x 2 (3) balls in Cols:
either: #23430 Pumpkin / orange
or: #24653 Calypso Heather / turquoise
Actual amt used:
Small: 62 gm/ 2.2 oz, 124m/ 135 yds
Large: 99 gm/ 3.5 oz, 200m/ 218 yds
4.5mm/ US #7 & 5.0mm/ US #8 circular needles, length 80cm/32 ins
24 sts/ 25 rnds: 10cm/4 ins in Barley Corn pattern,
using 4.5mm/ US #7 needles
Row counter, markers, tapestry needle for finishing
Stitch holder or spare interchangeable needle cord
2 x small safety pins
